Channing Tatum, Maybe?

I always feel kind of funny when there comes a time for me to admit that I just adore Channing Tatum.

Why? I don’t know.

I mean, he’s attractive but not the hottest working actor today (truthfully, I think some of my own models are better looking). And his acting skills aren’t likely to have him breaking Laurence Olivier’s record for Academy Award nominations. But all that aside, Channing Tatum seriously makes me swoon. And as a result, I’ve suffered through a few movies that NOTHING would have made me go see, otherwise. (G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra or Dear John . . . Oy!)

I know I’ve posted this photo before on Facebook and my old blog, but I’m going to show it to you again. It was published in GQ a couple years ago and it’s probably one of my favorite editorial shots/actor stills of all time. Years later and I still love this photo.

A few weeks ago someone who’s posed for me before even volunteered to recreate this shot for me, and I’ll confess that I was more excited about that prospect than I have been for just about any photo shoot I’ve had in months. But then my model had some personal issues come up that have prevented us from getting together, and that’s fine, I guess — I’d always rather create my own art than to try to put a twist on something that’s already been done. Still, it would have been hot.

Last week, one of the boy blogs I follow posted the following photo (NOT safe for work, before you scroll down), which is a full nude shot that he’s saying is of Channing Tatum from his earlier career as a model. I’ve looked at it pretty closely, and I’m not entirely convinced that it’s him. But it might be.

Either way, I can dream.

    Dream away!
I must say, nothing rides like a Jeep.
The head looks just a tad off scale, but then it may just be the angle.
Regardless, it is still a nice image to ponder.
I remember seeing the Tatum on the messy bed shot when you posted it earlier.
    It also makes me smile.

There is a halo around his head, that’s not natural

    Homo say photoshop?

Would you believe that it never even occurred to me that people might still Photoshop a famous person’s head onto someone else’s body? Ugh.

LOL. I also can’t look away from this guy or his movies. Have you seen “The Eagle”? But if you look at other pics of him, his body is not as slim as the one in that photo, and in that photo the head and neck seem out of proportion with the rest of the body. Wishful thinking can be a powerful thing, no?
