Other Photographers: Erik Sage by Julian Schratter

Here is model Erik Sage, photographed by Julian Schratter for a publication called Confessions of a Male Model: The Erik Sage Issue fanzine. [Click to enlarge.]

This is an example of how I might be too hard on myself. If I shot this series, I would have been bored with it, especially the tooth-brushing photos.

But despite this, these are being sold. I appreciate my own high standards regarding my work, but why can I look at something and enjoy it while knowing at the same time that I would have dismissed the shots if I had taken them, myself? Is there some small thing that’s missing from my own work that I don’t see yet, something that makes me dislike my photos while others can pull off similar shots?

Side note: I love the photo in which Erik is pulling on his pants

Another side note: You can purchase the fanzine in either print or digital format.
