My friend Bil sent me a link to Reflections, a series by photographer Tom Hussey, in which the elderly reflect on their former, younger selves. This is beautiful.
These photos are a couple of years old. Model Ruslan Kulov joined author Harald Nicolas Stazol in the story La Beauté for the fourth issue of DARE mag. The editorial was photographed by Johannes Paul Spengler. [Click to enlarge.]
Model Norbi Novak recently had his portfolio updated with these fantastic images, by photographer Joseph Bleu. [Click to enlarge.]
Games and Restrictions, Candy, Twilight and Guns was an editorial in Arena Homme+ back in 2008. Steven Klein captured the images; I love his work because it captures so much raw energy and violence along with fashion and beauty.
The models featured in the series are Travis Hanson, Doug Porter, Caleb Halstead, Charles Devoe, Kerry Degman, Travis Bryant, Paul Anthony, Duran Bunch, Sascha Kooienga and Bryton Munn. Enjoy the full editorial at Homotography.
Photographer John Andresen shot a series called Fitnessbanden, featuring a Norwegian Fitness Gang. The series is actually in two parts — a color series shot indoors and these black and whites shout outdoors. I’m not as cracked up on the color series, but if you’d like to see it, you can do so at OhLaLa. [Click to enlarge.]
This is a beautiful photo of U.S. Marine turned model, Dmitry Tanner, photographed by Greg Vaughn. Dmitry’s face in this image is perfect. [Click to enlarge.]
I love the new Marcuse campaign. Marcuse is a swimwear brand from Australia (I hadn’t heard of them either). This campaign features South African twin models Nicholas and Campbell Pletts.
Twins, you know how I feel about that.
Anyway, this campaign is awesome.
Here are a few videos from the campaign, too.
In 2008, I was the first photographer ever to work with new model Joshua Day. He was sweet and had potential, but he had the most awful haircut I’ve ever seen. We only shot together once because he moved to New York about 2 weeks after we met.
This is what happened when Josh got to New York. First, his agent made him cut his hair, which looked awesome. He kept working out and working hard and eventually landed a spread in DNA magazine.
I wish I could have had the change to work with him more than once. I bet we could have made great images together. And I would have liked to help him develop his portfolio and his modeling skills.
Here’s a sexy rooftop photo shoot featuring the sexy photographer Yasmin Petty and the even sexier and naked model Simon Dexter. I love these. [Click to enlarge.]
